Modifying Child Support

Hi I’m Steve, one of the member lawyers of the Houston Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service. I have been with the service for more than 30 years and today I’d like to talk to you a little bit about the possibility of modifying your child support.

If you are currently receiving child support in Texas, the question you probably are asking yourself, am I receiving the correct amount? Am I entitled to have more money?

The first question you want to ask yourself is how long ago was my last child support order? If the order is over three years old, you are automatically entitled to a review of that order one of the lawyers on the service will be happy to go over what you’re receiving for child support and see if in fact, you’re entitled to an increase.

Children are expensive, and they need to be supported they’re our most important resource.

A lawyer from the Houston Lawyer Referral Service is here to help you raise your child support.
